Long story short I didnt catch the mess that was on a frag I got from one person and managed to get Bubble Algae and Bryopsis :(. The bryopsis came in slower and I didn't see if before seeing all the bubble algae. I have emerald crabs but they couldn't eat enough to stop it so I started dosing Vibrant about 1ish month ago, but now the bryopsis has taken off while bubble algae is all dying.

I have changed to x2/week for vibrant now in hopes it can kill off bryopsis but was curious if someone has ever ran both Vibrant and Reef Flux or just keep on trucking with vibrant and just wait the long period it takes to kill of bryopsis? I don't want to stop vibrant since it is still working its way through the bubble algae.

Thanks!

I don't see a problem with using both. In fact, the vibrant may help break down the dying bryopsis.

It's what I was thinking but hoping that someone that has done both can chime in as well as my tank is sps dominant

Bump

I have used both, at the same time, without any additional side effects. They have totally different mechanisms of action. Vibrant is a bacterial product. Fluconazole weakens the cell was of the algae. I would think their actions would be synergistic.

Watch your nutrients closely as you do this...

I've done both together. Reef flux worked great for bryopsis and vibrant is the only thing I've had get rid of bubble algae. Follow the instructions closely for reef flux. Test your nutrients while using vibrant. It will bottom them out and you can get cyno or dinos. I use NeoNitro with vibrant to keep nutrients from going to zero.

That’s great to hear as they are driving me nuts. Thank you very much.
