Vibrant by UWC testing

Ive read scientific articles that state much bacterial growth on the reef is fuelled by algal glucose. Next is coral slime.

Recap

Dosing 2x per week. 20ml each time.

Looks like around day 7 or day 8 I probably could have cut back to around 1 dose per week. I wonder if the 2x per week dosing isn't fueling the cyano a bit. As the glucose is something I've never dosed before I don't know how little is needed but it is a very little amount. Seems hard to believe it would cause the cyano to grow back the way it did after day 8.

Then there's the fact it is starting to cut back a little and the interesting observation of the cells breaking apart like I saw.

Day 8 is also when the film algae on the glass really started to take off and need cleaned every day. But at the same time just the past couple days has started to get better.

I was thinking of cutting back to 1x per week but now considering still sticking with 2x per week to see where this goes.

I'm very curious about this product. I didn't order a centrifuge before as it seemed more destructive to what I wanted to look for. I just ordered one and will get it next Tuesday. :)
Tie a sample to a ceiling fan! :p

Isn't it funny how our equipment just keeps growing?
That is one thing I do not have.

I do not doubt the cyano may be boosted by increased available nutrients if algae is dying. :)

My DT had absolutely zero green algae or Cyanobacteria (to the naked eye) before I started dosing Vibrant. My reason for dosing was for what I believed to be a form of Dinoflagellates.
I dosed 6ml 2x a week for 4wks. SB seemed to clear up but I began to see Cyanobacteria forming on my rock in several different areas, high flow areas included.
I stopped dosing Vibrant on the 13th.
My SB once again is beginning to look terrible and the Cyanobacteria persists.
Now I don't know what to do......

That's how I do carbon dosing to help reduce nutrients. Store brand distilled white vinegar. Back on the first page of this thread I think I summarized my maintenance methods. I use that 1.1ml/m connected to an outlet that is turned on and off via a controller's timer to dose around 90-100ml per day. I don't know the exact amount as I never checked what that peristaltic pump's actual output is.
