I switched from Microbacter to Vibrant as I was starting to have some odd algae growth. Was going to only do one dose. Had a mental lapse and did capfuls instead of ml. So, I did 5x the dose.

Caught the mistake within 20 min as a few corals looked a bit angry. Have switched out 25% of the water tonight as that is all I have ready. Put in GAC and took out chaeto.

I tested the water before I started water changes in the display. Alk was 8.9, Ca was 500, and pH is 8.6.

I understand that I need to watch for NO and PO drop the next few days. Would I see the alk or pH drop in a day or two or is that immediate?

Also, when could I put the chaeto back in?

Thanks

I think your fine with the steps you took. I don’t think one overdose will do any long term impacts. Usually takes multiple weeks of dosing to show impacts of what it is suppose to do. I would put cheato back in and watch levels
