VIBRANT ROUND 1 LOSS ROUND 2 WIN

So, I kind of dissed Vibrant in a thread a while back. I lost some SPS frags while trying to rid some bubble algae and was not happy with the loss, however; It was my fault. I was way to aggressive with the dose and the frags were young. I quit using it because of this and the bubble algae TOOK OFF. It was everywhere, on its way to coating all open spaces on the rock. I had no other choice but to deploy the vibrant once again. This time I did it at the lowest recommended dose once a week. So far so good! I am 7 weeks in and almost all bubble algae has been eradicated. At least 95 percent gone and what's left is the newer small stuff. It has the pail look that the rest of it did before it died off. The only casualty was some STN on my, what seemed indestructible birds nest. Everything else seems to be just fine. I have been keeping my nutrients up feeding a lot and dosing amino's. The areas in the attached pics were once covered in bubble algae. The tank is a Waterbox 45.2 and is one year old this month. Will do an update to my Build thread later.

I dosed Vibrant at up to 2x suggested dose when I just couldn't deal with the plague of BA anymore. I didn't have any losses although as I recall my birdsnest wasn't too happy for awhile. Luckily, it's a birdsnest so it bounced right back!

It took about 6-8 weeks and all was well. 2 years later there hasn't been a hint of BA!

Are you still dosing or did you stop and the BA just hasn't come back?
