My tank is about 6 months old & started to mature. Coraline Algae is spreading through out the rock while brown hair algae is starting to grow rapidly on my skimmer & places my clean up crew can’t reach.

now obviously I can simply take everything off the tank and scrub it down which I’ve done but in 24 hours it’s back.

I’m interested in a product like bacter m or vibrant that I can run as maintenance to keep that down on its own if possible. So to clarify I don’t have an “algae problem” like most people would consider.

Any opinions on this theory or objections to why etc or experience with one vs the other?

I’m debating which one to use but I can suggest that BRS has a great vid on Vibrant and eatsleepreef has a video on Continuum. Vibrant looks like it did a better job also it’s more $$.

I would recommend vibrant based of what I've seen and read. I'm going to be dosing it in a few weeks once the lights are on full schedule. I would look into the cause as well, rather than sticking a bandaid on and hoping for the best!

How did vibrant work out?
