not sure if this is the right spot for this poster not… But have been researching bubble algae for the last two weeks because I’ve got a pretty good outbreak and can’t seem to get it under control even though on my water parameters are solid and I do weekly water changes . So many people talk about vibrant and then there tank having more issues afterwords . What’s the running census? Just deal with the Cyno out break afterwards? Does it work ?

I did a test of it on my build thread on bubble algae this year.

It got the job done and the ba is long gone, but you need to be very careful when dosing.

Spread out the dose in the overflow and the sump, and dose it over an hour time frame.

It can really hurt corals like Wall Hammers if you just dump it in the main display.

Never got any cyano, but my nitrates held in there and never dropped.

Still dose once every six weeks to keep my live rock pores nice and clean.

If you run a fuge, then it maybe the wrong call.

Just one guys experience and sure that more will chime in.

Why is is bad with a refugium? Does it knock out chaeto?

I think it will take out your chaeto after all vibrant is an algae killer. I have bubble also & HA. I also have a bottle if this stuff stashed as a last resort.

Search the following:

Vibrant Liquid Aquarium Cleaner * Discussion Thread

It was started on October 26, 2016 by the makers of Vibrant and has approximately 250 posts sharing experiences, pictures, effect on Chaeto, requests for very specific instructions from the makers, etc. including how it works for bubble algae. I think you'll find all the info you need to become comfortable with this product.

Personally, I use Vibrant and like it.

Ty. Have you ran a successful cycle of it? Any aftermath?

On R2R?

I'm not sure what you mean by a "successful cycle of it". I did not use it during original tank cycle if that's what you are asking. My tank was several years old when I had a nasty outbreak of dinoflagellates. That's when I began using Vibrant along with the other steps I described in original post. It was amazing how fast I was able to eradicate the dinos. I hope that helps to answer your question.

Thanks Ktran350. However, the above link is part of the thread but doesn't include everything from the beginning including the important original communication from the maker of Vibrant which started the thread. I'm sorry that I don't know how to forward the exact link like you did, but if one enters the search exactly as I suggested (R2R search) and then scroll down the results of the search until you find that exact title, then you'll be at the beginning of the thread. If someone can explain how I find and forward the exact link to a post I'll see what I can do to make finding the beginning of this thread easier for those who might be interested.

Ty. I meant a cycle of this product (1 month) then When you stopped using it did your tank bounce back to normal without an from issues from the product ? Happy Thanksgiving

You can just copy the link from your browser's address bar and paste it in the reply box and the forum software automatically turns it into a hyperlink. You can also use the icon above the reply box that looks a bit like a chain link. A popup appears where you can paste the link and it will be inserted in your reply wherever your curser was. If you had some text highlighted, that text will become a link.

For example, I'm just pasting the link to Google below, but have a great search engine link here.
