I'm having a little bit of bubble algae problem.
Has anyone tried vibrant before? I've read some people saying their tanks crashed. I have a few mid-high end sps and was wondering if anyone has experience with this. I'm mostly concerned for my SPS as LPS and mushrooms are a bit more resilient.

I used it for bubble algae and reduced white light intensity and it was gone in a couple of weeks
Dose at 80% of recommended

I’m currently dosing Vibrant for about 6 weeks now for GHA from a broken skimmer. It’s really knocked back the GHA by about 70%. So far all my invertebrates, fishes, clams, LPS and SPS are doing fine. However, I’ve noticed nitrates creeping up on me. So make sure keep track of your nitrates from dissolved algae. Also, it completely destroyed my chaeto. Maybe also a reason for nitrates going up? Vibrant works

Guess i'll have to pick up some chaeto locally once the bubble algae is gone. No ill effects on corals? Especially Tenuis?

Also got 10 emerald crabs to see if they help make a dent. I'll most likely give them away locally once the algae is gone.

Some have negative experiences. Use it as directed and don’t overdose. It’s helped me many times. It sounds like magic in a bottle but it’s a heterotrophic bacteria that actively eats algae. Takes quite a few weeks to see results. Patience is key.

I use Vibrant every week. My big wrass ate my clean up crew and all of a sudden I had bryopsis algae everywhere. Make sure you keep your skimmer running wet i had to empty mine several times a day to keep your water clean. I also blow off the rocks with a powerhead then blow the water towards the water overflow to help get any dead algae out of the tank and change the socks everyday vibrant works great. Also Emerald crabs love bubble algae .

Should you do water changes during the treatment?

I dont think water changes will hurt anything. Will help keep nutrients down, especially if you siphon out the decaying algae. For what its worth, I dosed every other day for a couple weeks and didn't have any negative effects. Took out a turf algae problem in a month. I had a bad dino outbreak that covered my rocks. Turf algae started growing and my tangs wouldn't touch it because the algae was covered in dinos. I have an sps reef and everything was really stressed when I got back from a vacation to this dino outbreak. Corals were really pale, etc. Even in their stressed state, I didn't lose anything to dosing vibrant. I did ramp up to the increased dosing. I started at half twice a week, then increased over a couple of weeks. I think I dosed maybe 3/4 of a dose every other day.

Also, wait a month or two after dosing to try chaeto. Seems like this stuff sticks around a while after your last dose and will still kill your chaeto.

I had a major GHA outbreak. I used Vibrant for about 8 weeks without much success albeit it did knock it back a bit. The ultimate solution was adding a Magnificent Foxface (beautiful fish). He ate all the GHA and keeps it under control. I found when doing my research others used them to consume bubble algae and other nuisance algae. Now I augment his diet with a nori clip every other day.

Unfortunately, My tank is a 40 breeder and I don't think I can house a foxface.
