I just watched this video on bulb combinations from Advanced Reef Aquariums! Now I have more of an idea of bulb combinations! Hope this helps someone else!!!

Personally, I have always had great success with a combination of 60% Blue+/40% Aquablue Special. I wouldn't bother with the low par actinic bulbs. The purple plus is OK, but adds an ugly pink hue to the reef. I have never tried the Coral Plus, so I can't comment on its color and performance. I will say that a combo of Blue+/Aquablue Special is second to none when it comes to coral coloration and growth.
