I have two claims, one is a blue Maximus about 2" and a much bigger Clam that I think is a different type as it has smooth sides, much bigger at around 4 to 5" it is a brownish colour inside with a blue and white stripe mantle. I have an issue with this one.
He came on a small bit of rock that was its stand, he rested on the sides and his foot made contact to the base. A few weeks ago it was doing his usual rock and blowing air enough to make a small in dentation in the sand. He managed to tip himself out of the base. So I put in a large round frag base and put that on the sand then placed him on it. He seemed happy and he managed to turn around a number of times. Some days he was 10 to 2 and then he would be 10 to 4 or somewhere between. never really moving away from the place he was put down on. Recently I have found him on his side. The Tang chasing the Candy Cane Hog managed to collide with him also turned him on to his side. He has a foot and the tentacles and tonight I have put him back on his base and he has started to open up again. but he does not seem able to stay upright if he is on the ground and the disc he was placed on...any ideas? he seems OK in health wise and does shut if anyone gets to close to him. Thanks in advance.
