im taking pumps out of my biocube and. Breaking it down don’t think it has ick or anything was just a holding tank for a fish but it died. I’m wanting to add the pumps to my display for more flow but wanna make sure I have them soaking in some vinegar water how long do I need to let them soak been a few hours

If you're trying to get rid of coralline algae or tube worms, it usually doesn't take more than an hour. If that isnt your goal, the vinegar isn't going to do much of anything and bleach may be a better choice (or hydrogen peroxide).

If you're just trying to kill algae, pests, ect. just soak in hot water for about ten minutes. The water from the faucet is plenty hot btw.

If you want the dead coraline off the pumps you can then soak in pure vinegar for about 10 minutes.
