Vinegar dosing 50gal

Hi,

How much vinegar do I need to dose daily for a 50 gallon cube.

Is there a reason why you would want to dose vodka? It's hard to tell what if any you would need withou knowing some of you parameters? Are you having a nitrate/phosphate issue? Any algae blooms?

Yes nitrate problems and not vodka I wanna dose vinegar.

Yeah, I meant vinegar. But at 50 gal, 20ml a day should be a good start. Still not sure where your nitrates are at and where you want them to be, but you can test frequently to see if it improves. If not, then you can increase dosage. Be careful of bacterial blooms while dosing.

There are plenty of threads regarding vinegar but the change is and should be slow. May take a week or two to see a difference. The dosage should be adjusted based on your results after some time. May need more or less.. will depend on your test and then when you reach your mark, you can dose to maintain rather than to drop. I used to dose NOPOX and stopped. I worked on reducing nitrates by changing how I fed my fish and was glad I did. Coral colors are great as a result.

Are those measurements millimeters? Also they dont tell you when to Stop increasing.

What I’m using right now is mix the vinegar with kalkwasser as my top off...it works for me. 40ml vinegar/1 gal RO water/2tsp kalkwasser...

So I have a 16gal Reservoir with kalk so how would I do it? Add 40ml per gallon?

Start low..like 1tsp kalkwasser/1gal RO water/10ml vinegar as top off...then adjust the dose depending on your calcium and alkalinity.
