So, I have an 8 gallon tank, LPS dominated reef tank. I am still learning about dosing when I saw an article about vinegar dosing. My question is, what is vinegar dosing, how do I do it, and what are the benefits of dosing vinegar?

Vinegar dosing is carbon dosing. Carbon dosing Lowers nitrate and nitrite I believe. What are your water parameters?

I haven't tested calcium yet, but Nitrate are close to 0 ( I forgot the exact numbers ). One thing that is kind of high in my tank is Phosphate. Nitrite is a little high tho.

Alright then. Also, just in case there is a spike, can you guys tell me how to dose it with vinegar?

If there’s a spike in a nano just do a 50% water change

I would agree, at only 8 gallons... Even 20-50% water change is more effective and quicker. And for a tank so small it is cost effective.

Ah, didn't think about that...

I agree that carbon dosing on such a small tank is not advisable. WC's will do everything you need for No3 and Po4 reduction in a tank that size.
