Vinegar dosing

With vinegar dosing how soon should I expect to see a decrease in nitrates? My nitrates average around 20. I would like to get them below 10. I do 15% weekly water changes. Will this lessen the effect of the vinegar? Should I hold off on water changes until I see a drop in nitrates.

How much are you dosing now? If you just started, its going to be a bit before you see results. How many mils are you at? Doing water changes weekly should help this along.

I'm at 10ml per day in a 55gal. I do 5 in the am and 5 in the pm.

Yea, its gonna be some time before you see those trates come down. Your better off doing larger wc a few days apart to get thwm down now, and then going with a maintenance dose.
