Hello everyone! I originally made a thread in the zoanthid section on my 40g Breeder zoa collection tank and now that I’ve upgraded to a 135 gallon, I figured I would do a thread on the progression of that tank.

Here are a few pictures of my setup a few months ago, prior to breakdown and upgrading:

40g Breeder w/ 8g frag tank w/ 15g shallow reef (connected through a chain of overflows from one tank to another to the sump)

Now as you can tell, I was/am a zoa nut lol so after some talking with my parents (still live with them lol I’m in college), they agreed to allowing me to upgrade! Here are some transfer pictures:

A total of 2 days for the full transfer (one waiting for the system to stabilize and another putting everything in) with roughly half of the water from the existing system (40+8+15=63g) and new water for the rest. After a rough few days, the tank had been up and running and things were opening back up again!

Now 2 months since the transfer, most/all my zoas are gone :( but that was intentional! They have all gone to new homes and enjoying life :) now to start off fresh with some fire and not just zoas! And with that said, here are some of the first/new inhabitants of my new-er 135g!

Oh wow, some very nice stuff you got there... I look forward to updates from this thread.

thank you guys! Here are some morning pics just now! The rest of all the zoas are on the sandbed now, awaiting pickup from a local buddy of mine today and the rockwork is clearing out for new things! Have some new pieces coming in later today as well! :)
