Vinyl in sump chambers....it is safe for reef?

Hello,

I would like to wrap some sides of the sump (inside of the sump) with black vinyl to prevent light from the refugium to other chambers - is it safe for SPS corals?

Why not just wrap it on outside only?

The refugium is located between the other chambers. And at least two sides of refugium need to be wrapped inside.
