Whats a good percentage to have the blues at for a bta tank?

While I did not have the Viparspectra specifically, I did had the ReefLights SB16 basic, which are similar, and I had my blues set to 100% ramping up to that over 2 hours and then down 2 hours over a 13-hour photoperiod. My BTA enjoyed them at these levels.

my 300W version is set to 60% blue 15% white for my LTA

No clue. I just kept ramping up until everything in the tank started acting upset. then backed off 5%. So those are my settings. I have pretty much everything, softies, LPS, SPS, LTA. The only thing that didnt make it was a sub 2" maxima clam. was happy for 6 months and then went down fast. It was probably me not knowing how to take care of it properly.

thats what i did with my lps, i saw minor bleaching at 65% with another light i have (phlizon) and backed off 5 as well thats what got me wondering about a bta since they require higher light than lps. i think im gonna try 60/5 and see how they react thanks

My par map with 3 SB's blue at 100% and whites at 30%, 2 BlazeX minis (levels comparable to SB's), and 2 Orphek Bars over my 6 foot standard 125.

Things didn't just start at those levels but were ramped up to those levels over a 2 month period. I Apex hacked the SB's for dimming control.

To be clear the LTA parked itself directly in the middle of the light on the sand bed. BTA will be a bit different

Also how often did you ramp up cause i started getting bleaching doing like 5% a week

Approximately 1% per day over a little over 2 months.

mine is at 9". too much spill into the room. I dont like that
I have a canopy so no-spill solution. I'd never run a tank without one.
