Is there a way to find how many will be in attendance? Or a form of meeting log?

We won't know until the meeting hopefully we'll get enough people. If the club is going to survive we need people to sign up for Board of director positions as well as taking active roles in their chapters.

I'm not a member (I live in southwest Virginia), but having a virtual meeting is a great idea! It's more convenient for people to attend and you could more easily share each other's tanks. Of course, that does eliminate the potential for in-person frag swaps and such, but it's still a cool idea.

It's not a replacement for in person meetings but another way to get together

Definitely! I wish I had an active reef club in my area. I've tried getting activity going again on the forums here for the SWVA reef club, but there just doesn't seem to be enough interest. It's a shame really, as I know there are bunch of great reefers in this area as they're pretty active on Facebook.

I completely get that. We are going to try smaller local groups/meetings which are linked up under a Statewide group. Hopefully it gives people an opportunity to meet within a half-hour up their house. Each group will provide some sort of content for the Statewide Club so it spreads the workload out and encourages more involvement. I think once we get up and running people will see that the club offers more opportunities than they get from a Facebook group. Time will tell

I think I'm going to use Google meet. I think it's pretty easy you just take follow the link and join the meeting.

If you get there early you can play with the filters I'm torn between being a pirate we're having an octopus on my head decisions decisions

Wow that would be a great deal for somebody. I I looked but couldn't find it.
