I will begin a reef build in about a month. I really don't want to include a fuge in my sump but have read they can be beneficial. My tank will be a mixed reef of softies lps and sps. I would greatly appreciate if people posted pics of their reef systems that have sumps but NOT fuges. This would greatly put my mind at ease.
thanks

Check my album, no fuge!

Ill try and post some pics of the 330 you guys need to see the new scape.. I'll go break out the camera then take the pics.. once the blue leds come on

Well the one has been running for not quite a year about 9-10 months MAX i think.. had hair algae in tank at first replaced all of rock started over again anf it looks great now. Used all Real reef rock. I highly reccomend that stuff a little bit pricey but it makes great scapes has no pests and hasgreat corraline growth off the bat.. I went completely picture happy once the blue leds came on a few min ago... i need to edit some of the pictures because of the high quality takes up more memory and some cant even be posted without editing

Rock can screw everything up so you always wanna be careful. ONE large piece that we bought that some guy traded in i guess had had super bad hair algae before and it came into the store and in our tank it came back and ruined the system.

yea thats true my friend purchased a bunch of live rock but didnt realized it wasnt cured. needless to say his water levels went haywire. ill probably just use all the rock I already have from my 40 breeder

Thankyou! we love that horshoe crab! hes big, funny looking, and stupidly entertaining. I found myself sitting by the tank the other day just watching him go back and forth running into things and getting flipped over. It took him about 2 min to get himself right side up again
