Vitamin C Benefits

I’m planning to start adding vitamin C to the tank. I was recommend to use it to help my zoas grow. What other benefits does it have? I have a mixed reef (softies, lps, sps, and soon an anemone).

I’d been having some zoa problems so a member here recommended vitamin C, his zoas look great so I’m placing an order later today.
