Vitamin c doseing

I think it depends on what you are dosing for. If you are looking to dose it to just help your zoas you can get away with dosing twice a week but if you are looking to reduce nitrates you have to dose twice daily. Some folks report that this did wonders for their corals and fish. LPS and SPS included. I used it and it helped my coloration on my zoas but once I saw things come back to normal I stopped dosing and the coloration held. I still dose it every once in a while, but dosing twice a day is something I really dont have time for.

What about adding it to your food? I want to start making my own and am wondering about adding vitamin C. Would this not filter out and have some effect on your coral?

I dose the powdered vitamin c for coloration and size of my zoas. I've been dosing for about a month now and my zoas have doubled in size. My captain planets are as big around as a quarter now.

so... I dont understand. did the Vitamin C help the corals or did it act as a solid carbon dose and remove nitrates and phosphates in that time?

They defiantly helped the corals as well. The PE on all the corals were noticeable as well as reproducing/budding seemed to speed up as well.

I used to dose it when my tank was thriving and saw little change. I was using powdered vitamin c and the main difference I saw was my red zoas seemed to brighten up, but I didn't notice anything else.
