My first, but certainly not going to be my last order with Vivid Aquariums (.com)...

I’m very pleased with a newly-received order from Vivid Aquarium:

- Ordered sailfin tang and bottle of pods last weekend with immediate email confirmation
- Got a call from Dave himself (owner seen on Mr. Saltwater Tank’s shop tour on YouTube) letting me know he had a perfectly-sized, healthy, beautiful fish ready to ship.
- Tracking Number emailed yesterday (Thursday afternoon)
- Shipment arrived at 10am PST this morning (Friday / Southern Cal to Northern Cal)
- Excellent packing of fish and bottle of pods with triple-bagged, tightly rubber-banded two outer plastic bags, with metal clipped inner bag. Heat pack still pretty warm, and fish bag did not feel cold to touch in current 58 degree F outside temps.
- Fish seen in bag with full dorsal proudly extended, and now enjoying his time in the QT.

Okay, I had to follow-up my review of a mail-order shipment from Vivid Aquariums with a quick write-up from today's visit to their shop...

OMG (and I never type OMG): What an eye-popping experience! I'm sure it's like anytime you walk into a beautiful LFS for the first time, but something about this place let me know right away they're in the business of coral. Of course they had well-kept tanks full of reef-safe marine fish, but the pristine tanks full of mother colonies and their respective frags were reminiscent of viewing Madonna and Child paintings around Rome and Florence. Just dropping the kids off at my parents' place for Spring Break, and had to stop into Canoga Park, so I'm absolutely not disappointed in the visit. No offense to the awesome LFS/coral shops up in San Jose, Newark and Hayward...because you all rock, too!

Yes, I was so in awe I forgot to whip my phone out of my pocket to take a picture or two, but it was enough of a visit to give me the confidence to order whatever my tanks' desire as it matures. The live-guarantee doesn't hurt either. I picked out a few frags and a bubble coral, during Jose's tour of their store. He then packaged them up as if we were shipping them overnight. I've got a six-hour drive back up to the Bay Area, so I'm sure the new coral pieces will do well before acclimation and dipping sometime late tonight.

Come to think of it...I've gotta come back down next weekend to bring our kids back home, so maybe I'll get in another visit and will respectfully ask to take pictures to share with everyone. :-)

[FYI: I don't normally gush like this about anything, except maybe a buddy's new set of golf clubs or exotic car, so please don't tell my sailing and golf buddies I'm behaving this way about simply polyp extensions!]

Thinking about ordering from vivid and checking out reviews....saw this one...good to hear about your experience.

Vivid Aquarium sets the bar. Everything about them is excellent. Happy customer and would recommend to anybody.
