Vivosun T5 fixture after one year.

I change my bulbs out once a yr. Or when they start to burn out. Loose 1 ect. By than I'm sure the Kelvin temp has shifted to mostly red but eh. Lol.

My plan is to check par in a year from install. wish I had a analyzer to see how much light spectrum shifted after 12 or hopefully 18 months of use.

I ran one myself for a bit, I was happy with it, then I switched to the waterproof bulb ends for that reason. Had some rot that was preventing a bulb from igniting.
Where can you get waterproof bulb ends? I have one of these laying around that I've never used, just a little concerned about an electrical fire... lol.

Do you have a link for the unit?
I had the 4' ft, but there ya go!

Check above, I bought through Premium Aquatics. But they won't fit in the vivosun housing.

Do you guys have these plugged into GFI outlets? I just installed mine and it trips the GFI when it fires on

UPDATE! Stray voltage in the fixture! It's enough to give me a painful tingle if my hand is wet, and it's made me curse a few times. Luckily it's nothing lethal. But still a curious development.

something may have just come loose when you cleaned it up, try double checking all the connections the fixture.
Hopefully, it’s not any type of short and just loose wire.

Believe it's just the standard grow light. . . at least that's the one I bought haha. . . don't think they make a reef specific one.
