Maracyn 1 = Erythromycin (API Erythromycin works just as well). Treats gram positive bacterial infections.
Maracyn 2 = Minocycline. Treats gram negative.

These two work best together.

The only problem with Maracyn 1 & 2 is (I believe) they don't make the SW versions anymore. Which is a dang shame because the SW version contained "Vitamin B-Complex" which often served as an appetite stimulant and that would offset appetite suppression from the antibiotic itself. :mad:

Also, if it says on the package "FW only" you usually have to double the dosage for SW use (which gets expensive). I'm not really up to snuff on Maracyn 1 & 2 anymore ever since Fritz bought Mardel.

So an update on the tang he is doing well and eating i did a 5 day treatment on him using maracyn 2 and api erythromycin and did not see any change in the eye so i switched to melaflex and pimafix and saw noticeable results within 24 hours. You can see the whole eye and color of it and Just a little cloudiness left in the eye hopefully of will be gone by tomorrow. Was trying to get a picture but he is now camra shy lol
