Tried doing some of my own research but couldn't find anything.

I know vodka dosing helps with water clarity so my question is can you just dose a minimum dose just for water clarity? I have no problems with p04 or nitrates.

My total water volume is 45g with rock displacement. So I was thinking of using a old dropper from an amino acid vial I had laying around

I wouldn't be sure it always does help with water clarity (and if it does, how), so I wouldn't say any minimal dose will clear the water and not reduce nutrients.

That said, it is fine to experiment with it and see what happens in your system. :)

I agree with Randy. I dont think your going to get much clarity out of just dosing a few drops. Your better off using a chemipure or high grade carbon.

I use ROX from BRS. No problem with clarity right now was thinking vodka is cheaper in the long run.

I'm going to continue to use ROX I started my first dose tonight. I dosed MB7 for 2 weeks and will keep dosing along with vodka. I'm not going to get to deep into the dosing because I run my reef at alk 9.4DKH right now and don't have a salt with low alk. I don't plan moving past the second part of dosing till I run out of my current salt then I guess I'll go full blown vodka.(slowly of course)

Yes I am using two part. Keeping all at 9.4-9.6 and cal at 420-435 range. I dose amino acids daily also.
