I was wondering if anyone has every used WM or Zeovite coral snow with vodka dosing? I like what I've heard about coral snow and want to try it. I currently dose vodka daily (6 ml a day, upping 5 ml a week) with MB7 daily. Some helpful opinions on dosing would be great! :)

Just started last night. Have been using MB7 for a few months, interested to see if the C.Snow is a noticeable addition

*edit:misread your post.I dont dose Vodka. I've heard many have gone to vinegar.

I like the coral snow with vodka dosing, I havent had any cyano issues since I added it to my mix. I dont use it everyday but probably like every third day. I also noticed more polyp extention with the coral snow than without.

What is coral snow and where do you order it from?

I have found with zeovit snow polyp extension is insane. I usually dose snow with oyster feast and phols xtra. I have great coloration in my sps. I notice with dosing snow the clarity of my water is amazing. I was dosing vodka for a while and cyno was a problem. The snow did help a little but didn't try mb7. Good luck!

What is coral snow? How is it supposed to work? It's pretty expensive. I've read the description and its some sort of 2.5 micron carrier mineral that clears water and that corals ingest with whatever supplement you add bound to the carrier?

I would love to see it in action.

If you print a page of various size text on an 8.5x11 paper and tape it to one end of your tank - so your looking through the tank lengthwise - then go to the other and take a few pictures zooming in on the print as needed then
dose wait, for the recommended period and take the pictures again keeping the settings, zoom and time of day the same as the first set of pics. If it really works and isn't placebo effect - it should be evident.

In my old tank, I was dosing vinegar and coral snow. I only did the CS 2-3 times weekly at the recommended rate and it certainly clears the water and gives outstanding poly extension. I was also dosing MB7 and the KZ bacterial additive for purposes of diversity. It kept the tank very clean. I have not yet started that protocol in my new tank. I've been dosing only MB7 as the bioload is rather light right now. As it increases, I'll be adding vinegar and CS back into my dosing protocol.
