Vodka dosing

I was using it but I have not noticed much of a change so I am currently looking into other methods of nutrient export that will be more benificial

How long have you been using it?

Not so much as how long, but how much were you dosing and what size tank? Because vodka dosing will rid your system entirely of nitrates. Its very controllable.

I was doing it for about 6 months and dosing approx 25 ml per day towards the end

25mls in what size tank?? It took me to get to 40mls a day to get mine to drop. Daily maintenance dose is only half of what you get to, so its not always going to be that high of a dose. What are your nitrates at?

Ive used it before, I just don't like dosing in such high quantities, and using like 70-80mls would more than likely alter ph in some systems. I didn't much care for that aspect of it. Other than that, it works the same, I even had Cyano with it, although its supposed to not make cyano.

So just an update, I'm liking the vd so far. Still working my way up on the amount but it's starting to do its thing.
