i was waiting for jlinzmaier to paste some thing but i didnt know he has so much!!! i read every bit of it and i couldnt agree more to what he has saved in his archives....thats why i stated take it slow if you do decide to do carbon dosing..

To give you suggestions, it will help if you give us as much info as possible about your system:

feeding regimen
exact n and P levels
previous water change routine
amount and sizes of fish
total volume
current means of filtration
amount of algae growth and type/description of algea
macroalgae growth
etc.... (the more info the better)
