I've been dosing vodka for 3 weeks manually now following randys chart. Can I dilute the vodka with rodi and use it through my doser?

The only concern with diluted vodka or vinegar is bacteria may grow in it, converting it into CO2. So I wouldn't make up huge batches this way.

Bacteria will start growing in it if the concentration of ethanol fall under 15-18% by volume. So if it is 80 proof vodka (40 % vol) you can dilute it with equal amount of fresh water with no worries.

Wine doesn't acquire a much higher alcohol percentage than approx. 14% because the bacteria start to get inhibited too much. However, that percentage is not strong enough to sterilize.

I would try to avoid that the alcohol evaporates too much, it will lower it's concentration.

Fortunately it is, just as for biom, evening over here so I think I will take a glass of wine. This thread is making me thirsty somehow. :D

lol that's true i'll take a glass of bulgarian brandy it is about 80 proof so i hope there will be no live bacteria in it ;). Cheers!
Do you know NOPOX is about 17% ethanol and 2.5% acetic acid, this always remains me of a bad sour wine, but I'm not going to test it (they put methanol in it, may be on purpose :D). May be i'll start wine dosing next time.

I would just dose straight up since I don't think the amount off top off water required would ever be in conjunction with amount of ethanol required to keep bacteria from growing before its used in your tank.

why would you want to dilute it if you have a dossing pump? program it for the amount you want for the day and then program it for how many times to split it up.

Some dosing pumps and/or timers may not allow adequately slow or short enough timed dosing to dispense, say, less than 1 mL at a shot.

This is what I do to make dosing easier.
I fill about 14 of these little condiment containers with the vodka required all at once, then I just have dump it in each day, I dose only a small amount, so I just do it all at once . When I dosed more, i poured it into a syringe I had in the sump and it slowly dripped out over 10 mins or so.
