Volunteer Coral?

So, this looks like a coral. But, this is news to me. The only thing I can think of is that maybe 9 months ago, I planted a rock flower anemone in the tank. My former emerald crab (RIP) got after it and tore it apart. I salvaged what I could and put it around this area. But, never saw it again. Is this some kinda pest, that Lazarus thing or maybe something else entirely? Thanks!

aiptasia, the way i got rid of it before i had a copperband butterflyfish;
kill it with a torch lighter if you can take the whole rock out of the tank. if not smother it in kalkwasser and then superglue over the kalkwasser
