I have ecotech marine vortech mp60. We have 220 volt electriticity here. Not 110volt.

I plan to buy ecotech battery backup for my mp60 from the USA store.

But The USA has 110volt electricity.

Can I use battery backup which was bought from the USA store on my 220 volt vortech mp60?

I have some parts that are capable for 110volt and 220volt at the same time.

Help me

I'd check directly with Ecotech and see what they say. If it is just plain 12v for your version of the MP60, see if your marine battery's, those used on boats, are 12v. If so, a marine battery and some very inexpensive connectors make for an inexpensive and extremely long lasting battery backup.

It is not the best way but you can take your hot leg of your 220 and then use a ground on the other side and you have 110

Pretty sure the battery backup of an MP powerhead uses straight 12v. 110 or 220 at the source for AC doesn't matter because it gets converted to 0-24v DC I believe. The battery backup runs at 12v DC and therefore half speed for the MP. This is my understanding and I'm happy to be corrected! In my case, I have a 12v DC marine battery hooked directly up to the battery backup port of my MP40 controller and it worked flawlessly during Irma.

yeah thinking about it your right as far as the battery charger, I need to think about this too last time I just used my truck lol

Guys my vortech's input is: 100-240v output is:32v

The purpose of the backup is to provide emergency power though, not full power. Still think the best bet is to just contact ecotech and ask them what your battery back up voltage should be. My bet is 12v but I can't be certain for other parts of the world.

Hi, I think you could try the CoralBox backup battery, it can support for Vortech Pump.;)
