Does anyone know how to estimate flow from the MP? I just set mine up and had to reduce the flow due to blowing sand. Trying to guesstimate how much total flow I have in the tank.

Thanks

How many MP40's do you have? At 100% I believe the MP40 puts out about 4,500 gallons per hour. What percentage would you guess you have them set at?

I have 2 pumps on opposite sides of the tank. There are 12 lights on the Controller, I have reduced my flow to 8 lights on both units.
With both pumps at the 8 mark you're at about 6,000 gallons per hour.

I did it through cross multiplication. So take how many leds are lit up over the total leds available and multiply that by 4,500 the max gph, then divide that by the 12 leds available and that will give you X or your GPH
8 X
12 4500 = 3000 GPH
May not be the easiest way or the right way, but it has been accurate so far

12 x
12 4500 will equal 4500

5 X
12 4500 = 1875 GPH and so on and so fourth.

That is for one pump, so then take the one pump GPH and double it for both pumps.

Well that's one way to do it,

8/12=.66 repeating aka 66% power output
9000GPH total potential output, 66% of that is 5,940GPH

You’d be correct. It’s just a big fan and without getting too crazy it’s just the ratio of max and current rpm.
