I just installed my new MP10s And one is super quiet, the other not so much. I have it programmed on a schedule but it doesn’t hold. It goes from steady lights to flashing. I can restart device and it goes back to schedule for a minute or two then back to flashing. Tried to add video clip but wouldn’t play. Thanks

I'm not much help, my mp10's run on 100% reef crest 24/7 and don't "talk" to each other.

That said, Ecotech customer service has always been great for me. Maybe give them a call?

I’ve spent a half hour turning and playing with alignment with no luck. I may try taking wet side about and check it out. All sound is coming from wet side.

What size tank are they on, I tried running reef crest around 75% and it was like an underwater hurricane, lol. Mine are on 90 gallon, right side about 7“ from top and forwards back, left side about mid tank toward front. Unbelievable amount of flow, wish I would have started out with these.

Are you making micro adjustments to the placement? The water can distort the view and make alignment a little challenging. I have to make small adjustments to constantly when I clean them. Make sure your firmware is up to date before programming.

How thick is your glass? Mp10 only good up to half inch. I use MP40s on my 80g system.

36x21x21, about 65 gallons. I dont feel they are too much flow at all, if anything I worry its not enough. My biggest issue is they struggle to stick through the thicker glass, wish I would've gone with the mp40's.

I run MP40s at 38% intensity during the day and 28 overnight in lagoon made for 80g mixed reef SPS and LPS.

Yes, very tiny amounts at a time, I’ve also insured all air was out and no air bubbles in between. If cleaning doesn’t help I will contact support, thanks everyone.

As far as the error with the pump settings, call ecotech in the morning. My vortechs have been noisy, even when perfectly aligned, if a limpet creeps his way in between the magnet and plastic housing. Take the wet side off and apart and clean.

I'm curious if your glass thickness is causing your noise and connectivity issues.

Are you using the thin gasket?

I turned mine to 100% constant when first started like book said and had to reset 3 frags and find a mushroom, lol. Thought my hammer was going to fly away. Been running reef crest at 55% during day and lagoon at 35% at night. Everything seems happy, but it is early, been running less than a week.

No, glass is 1/4 inch so book said not needed. Think I should try it? Left side pump is running perfectly and zero noise With no gasket.

My mp10s struggle to hold on to 3/8" glass with the thin spacer when turned up over 50%. The micro adjustment on the alignment does help with noise though. They need to be just right.

Wait, the thin gasket is for thicker glass? That seems counter intuitive, I assumed it was for thin glass to minimize the magnetic effect.

My glass is 3/8" and my mp10's (no gaskets) struggle to stick. I find a wet side in the sand once a month or so. Mp40's would've been a better move.

That's surprising. My coral is all epoxied down so nothing moves, but everything seems to love the flow, soft coral and LPS included. I wish reef crest spent more time maxed out honestly, they rarely seem to be up near the top end.
