Curious if I could get feedback on this flow schedule and if I should be using antisync. I am running the attached settings in a 48” tank with MP40s at either side. This is going to be mixed reef but Euphyllia heavy. Would this be better with the second pump having the same settings or running in antisync (note I have the pump in antisync for nutrient export only).

IMHO, as far apart as they are, I don't think it makes an real difference.

What are your concerns?

Have you ever calculated the over all flow rate (turnover rate) in your tank?

Return pump flow + flow from all powerheads divided by the total gallons in the tank + turnover rate

My looks like this:
900gph return pump + 2900gph (3 wave makers) = 3800gph divided by 90g tank volume = 42.2 turns per hour

Then you can match your turnover to the kind of corals you intend to keep.

Do you include the sump volume as well when you do the calculation? Or just DT volume minus sand and rocks displacement?

so mine 50 gallons (after minus rocks and sand displacement and not including sump) is 400 gph (Vectra M2@ 30%) + 2300 gph (two MP40) = 94 turns per hour.

is this okay? I am keeping mainly LPS with focus on Euphyllia and meaty corals.

94 turns is a lot. That's probably OK for sps but a bit tough on lps or softies.

How big is your tank?

65 gallons total system. 50 gallons DT as I already mentioned after rocks and sands displacement. 3 ft long.

Neptune FMM measures the Vectra M2 at 30% is about 400 gph. According to Mobius each of my MP40 running at 20% is about 2150 gph.

did I miss anything? My LPS are happy so far.
