Vortech MP40 x2 : Do I Need A Separate Controller?

Haven't ever used the newer wavemakers (have only ever used the old school static powerheads) and was thinking of getting x2 MP40s for alternating pulses on either side of the tank.

Would I need a separate controller for this to happen or do these link together out of the box and I assume through an app and wifi?

No, you don't necessarily need a controller with these so long as you purchase the wireless versions. They can be set to react to one another via a master/slave programming, instructions come with new pumps.

We (hubs and I ) found it easier to tackle this with 2 sets of hands, one on each controller.

I have 2 MP40s on my 75 gal. A little overkill, but they are so worth the money.
