Vortech NTM mode

If you have two vortechs opposite each other both in NTM mode does it sort of cancel it out? The idea is some burst to move nutrients to one end and then a blast to push them out to the overflow. I like the concept and have been messing with it, but can't really tell which is best.

1) run NTM on both at same time
2) run NTM on one and anti-sync the other
3) run NTM on one for ~30min other one off, then swap sides and do the same for ~30min.

I have four MP's and three nutrients modes during the day.
When pumps 1 and 3 running both on the left 100% then pumps 2 and 4 both on the right are running 10% only.
It changes after 20min when 2 and 4 running 100% and 1 and 3 are at 10%

Cool, so you think 3 is best option since you are pretty much doing that? Do you think NTM works well or get just as much detritus out with random flow?

It works for me as I don't see any detritus settling anywhere in my tank.

What is your logic to 20 min interval and 10% on other side? How long do you think it takes for a cycle of NTM? 10 min maybe?
