Watching some reef builder videos on YouTube I see Jake put vortechs on the back bottom. Any idea why and what setting he is using? I find that kinda interesting.

Watching some reef builder videos on YouTube I see Jake put vortechs on the back bottom. Any idea why and what setting he is using? I find that kinda interesting.

I'm not sure which video you were watching, but that placement is sometimes used to prevent dead spots and to keep detritus from collecting in spots that are hard to see and hard to get to.
