Vortex Filter

I have a Vortex Diatom filter and was wondering if using this water polishing filter would the use of the Diatom powder have any adverse effect on my 39 gallon mini reef. Primary with Zoas, Softees and a few SPS in the tank and a few reef safe fish. Can anyone advise me on the pros and cons? Thanks and Happy Reef Keeping.....

No it will not it just polishes the water removing all particle from the water.
