Voss dosing container wont prime?

My first time setting up a doser, I went with a Red Sea 2 head doser and Voss DIY containers, theres a bulkhead in the lid with hard acrylic tubing and an adapter that i had to superglue on to attach the doser tubing. Problem is its all setup but the pump will not draw the liquid out of the voss container, it just primes endlessly. How do i get the suction to start?

I eventually switched off voss containers for This exact reason. They would work fine for a while and then I would randomly have to go in and fight to reprime them.

Make sure everything is clicked together securely, and try not sealing the lid completely. Some people will drill a tiny air release hole.

Definitely need to let air in. Make a small hole in the top.

Making a hole didnt work, will probably just pick up some small icecap containers.
