Waaaaaaay too wet skimming

So I tried to get my skimmer to run just a bit wetter... dialed a few things in differently and walked away, expecting to check the next day to see if it worked.

Yeah... 3 hours later I smelled burning. Turns out It decided to skim off about 10 gallons of water through an overflowing skimmer cup right into the power strip.

On the bright side, I was thinking about doing a water change. On the downside, I was gonna buy salt for it tomorrow...

Dude, don't put power strips on the ground near your tank.

I've learned from personal experience to always keep my power plugs off the ground around salt water...

Oh it wasn’t. I was all smart and had it on the wall... under the skimmer...
