Wacky mushroom

Anyone else ever seen a mushroom do this? It made a new baby but instead of pinching off at the foot like normal it's attached to the side of the stalk. Kinda neat and figured I'd share and see if anyone else had ever seen something like this either

Cool! Seen it a only couple times over the last several decades. Not sure if it's cause by an injury or lighting influencing where a new polyp buds off or some other cause.
