Has any one else found themselves sitting on waiting lists for MONTHS for soft corals? Either the vendors don't care, forget, or I don't know, but it's down right depressing to get emails that say "WE HAVE 200 NEW CORALS IN STOCK" you go to the site, see the massive number of new deliveries, go to the soft coral section and the same sad little toadstool that's been on there for the past four months is still on there and nothing else.
Yes "WE HAVE NEW INVENTORY" just not for *you*.

I has a sad....

So apparently Saltwaterfish is a sister company to Reefs for Less. Very disappointing.

Might explain why Saltwaterfish has started using the same photos for multiple WYSWYG items. Not sure how they can be WYSWYG if they're supposed to be unique.

I've found a few nice green sinularias at live aquaria, in the divers den.
You have to continually check back as the nice ones don't stay very long.
While their refund/warranty has changed drastically in the past year or so and you have to almost fight them for anything, where else you gonna go for online softies?

Yes, things like sinulara are easy to find. I look for less usual stuff such as stereonephthya, litophyton, nephthea etc.

Other places I go are unique corals, cultivated reef, marine farmers, occasionally Ebay. I've found a couple of things on WWC but when dealing with softies on their stock list they aren't very gungho about confirming details because they usually aren't a 200 item.

There are a few other places I've looked, but not many, because there aren't many.

Yeah. I feel your pain. I guess I like lower end corals and it's very slim pickings everywhere. Its frustrating when you see xenia, etc for the same price as lps. If the ban gets listed it will be interesting to see how affects everything

I’d like to think that it would make a difference but the problem right now is the majority of vendors just don’t want to carry soft corals. They only seem interested in the next new zoa, mushroom, or acro. There are soft corals available. I’ve seen them on the lists belonging to wholesale distributors but no seems to want to make the effort to stock them. They aren’t huge sellers because there are so few who appreciate soft corals. And I think there are so few because not many know the plethora of incredible color available.

I totally agree. Soft coral make beautiful tanks imo but like you mentioned. It's hard to find a decent selection. Ive had the hardest time finding regular gsp and xenia locally. Leathers are slim pickings as well. Ive been looking for months

I’m in the same boat. I have 1 LFS where I live, they will try and order anything I ask them too. I haven’t asked in a while. I look at DD all the time but never pull the trigger. Have you all had good experiences with your online purchases?

Most of them yes. Only one (so far) I can complain about is my experience with Vivid aquariums who, imho outright misrepresented what they had to the point of dishonesty. I was very disappointed by that experience.

Live Aquaria, in the past, has been in the 90th percentile for me. Lately? IDK. I'm on the fence right now since they've changed a lot about their business model. Although, I will say, so far they have almost always corrected their mistakes.
