Waiting on Starter 5280 combo pack - Question about dosing...

I should be receiving my package this Thursday/Friday, and had a question for you. I will be dumping in both bags of pods, and then dosing the 5ml per 10 gallons, so 15ml every other day. When I do this, should I turn off the return pump, or keep everything circulating as I usually do in my tank? I'm really looking forward to seeing and helping my pod population grow out in my tank, and want to make sure I do it right.

I always shut pump down and turn lights off. Half bag in tank and half in the refugium area. Then I wait like 10 mins and turn everything back on. Just to ensure the pods make it to the rocks.
