Wall hammer and branching hammer stinging eachother?

LFS said the wall hammer wouldn't sting the branching hammer but all the heads have retracted to the base and arn't opening is this the case?

All coral sting other corals, just some tolerate the stings better than others.

Normally a hammer will tolerate another hammer, but looks like you lucked out.

There in there pretty solid and the tissue is retracted pretty far should I just let those heads die?
