Should I cut it again or what should I do?

got it for about two weeks. It was doing good till the corner started receding. Then it started melting away, so I cut about an inch off of the tip. I dipped it with seachem reef dip and placed it in the sump for about a week.

it’s gotten better but since yesterday, the place where I cut it started doing the same thing, melting away.

should I just dip it to see or cut it ASAP.

other corals in the tanks doing ok. TIA

After a dip I would just let it be. The more you move it the more angry it will get. Put it in a nice low flow spot and forget about it. Mine was receding and I kept messing with it so it kept dying faster and faster. After I left it alone it went from dead to beautiful in a couple months

This is what wall hammers do in captivity: they die. Cutting it will just make it worse. It’s a coral that is hard to keep no matter how good your water is.

I've noticed with all the euphillia I have they start out really bad but once you fine tune flow and placement they just take off. Euphillia was my first lps coral and it was a rough start. They seem to be really hardy once they are left to be for a couple weeks.

I was curious about that. I had a wall hammer that was just a circle and it never grew in almost a year so I traded it in for a torch. Branching ones do really well I’ve heard

learning the hard and expensive way for this one. I guess no more wall hammer coral lol. Guess is part of the hobby, it has it up and down time. just dipped it again and left it in the sump. Knocking on the wood.

Depends how patient you are. Most likely all the heads will die. But if you leave the skeleton in the they will come back. It may take 2 to 3 months. Walls don't like change, but have figured out a way to deal with it.

Went to heaven. Almost 99% reefers will loose it when it became like that. I said no more wall but I got another one in the summer time as a package deal and lost it again.
