Hi r2r,

I've had this wall hammer for a few months and it seems to be doing well. How ever I noticed it's getting hit with some constant flow and few of the polyps seems deflated. Wondering if this is a cause for concern. The hammer used to be much more fuller. I've tried to adjust it's placement but there's always that constant flow hitting it on one spot. Video below I focus on the polyps and area the constant flow is hitting. I'm also wondering if there's some form of tissue recession. Thanks in advance.

I have a Nero 5 tuned to 1% - 5% random flow, tank size is 35g. PO4 0.05 / NO3 9ppm/ 8.4 dkh / 450 Ca / 1500 mag.

Too much flow and low calcium are chief reason they become unhappy

I cannot see the video, but I would probably say based on vetteguy that yes, flow too high. Mine like a moderate flow that is random (chaotic). As they get larger, they need mor Ca/Mg, so make sure those are in line and constant.

Thank you Denise. Parameters are stable for the most part, trident keeps everything in check, i also run tests twice a week using hanna checkers and Mag stays between 1450-1500, CA as of this morning 452ppm. I believe its the return pump thats causing the constant flow, because my nero 5 is literally running at 1%-5% tops random flow. I just adjusted the return nozzles placement hopefully that helps.
