Walt Disney Acro Help

Mine looks like Bills……except smaller. I was able to save a frag from my original big r frag grown colony when it had stn a couple years ago. Here was the colony.

The salvaged frag took awhile to recover. I actually almost gave up on it but it’s been doing well over the last few months

Sorry it’s so hairy that you can’t see see the colors

Walt Disney is A great coral, colors up nice under higher par, but the cons are it grows so dam slow, save your time and energy get a homewrecker in the time it takes to grow out about 1/4 of an inch you could get about under proper par numbers about maybe 1 or more in growth very fast grower, and you don't need super high par numbers anywhere from 275 and upwards and they grow good, some one has a post with growth comparison of there WD & HW with a base lighting from 275 to I think 400 par and the growth is a big big difference..

I find it to be one of the faster growing Tenuis out there. My WD's grow faster than my HW, but every tank is different.

I bought a chunky frag from a local reefer and he pulled blues, purples, and yellows under 700 PAR. In my tank, I'm only getting about 260 PAR with a single A360X and I lost some of the purple. Still a beautiful acro.

700 par with what type of lighting?

How many you got? Is that 20?? Sheesh… haha
It's actually 8 XR30's and 4 XR15's with 16 36" T5's. I get pretty good coverage :)

My WD grows pretty fast.
Only about 350 par with an apogee.
With the parwise it's says it's in the 160's
I need to get some more par, tips are more of a lavender color in white light.

This is 1 year growth, plug to colony.

Sorry, my picture taking skills mostly suck. LOL

Nearly a 200 point difference between the 2 meters?

Still waiting for someone to reproduce a real picture with purple and pink and all the other crazy colors that the vendors like to show. Mine are lime, with some gold and green. I have them from three different sources. Neat coral when viewed from above especially.

Well yes, the apogee I did last late summer.
I fellow reefer let me borrow it.
The parwise I bought new a couple months ago. They claim to only use "usable par" for their meters. Where apogee used the "full spectrum".
Many people notice parwise to be lower in comparison but it does seem lower in my case. Not sure why, I need to play more with it.

Exactly
They wouldn’t be $50-75 frags if those colors were possible

Mine under halides is green with purple tips and maybe some blue… I think the blue is just the purple developing thou.. polyps are neon green and orangish in the shade.
