What about Flow patterns for WD? The strongest area of flow I have is mostly constant versus pulsing. Would constant flow be an issue?

Nice frag for that price.
Hard to estimate the PAR , first depend of what kind the Light Fix. you use,
In my case anywhere from 250 up to 475 ( MH Radium 400W)
Yes , they love lots of flow , but like any SPS , NOT direct , very hard Tenius , i still have 22 mini colony 1 1/2" up to 2", i sold 100 frags this year.
Much faster grow then H.W.

just bought a WD from the Storrs Frag Farmer Market yesterday. the vendor told me that he keeps his WD in about 100 par but has high nitrates, he said 80 ppm. yep 80 not 8. he told me that high nitrate and low par keeps the yellows. I am not going to try that, but it's good to know you guys see great color in higher light.

I just don’t see how the price dropped out of it when it’s so pretty. I guess the whole white light deal with it killed the price, but honestly I’d rather have a coral look good under the blues then the whites because I like the blues and run them heavy.

I would think it being hardy and a fast grower is the reason.

Lets see a pic of what the coral looks like in those parameters
It’s not a great picture but you can see it’s not blue like the other pics in the thread

Polyps look great. Can't tell on the body. Not sure about what you are reffering to as blue on other pics. But is has a nice blue edge on the polyp skeleton. Nice piece!

How does it differ from others?

I got a frag that looks almost the exact same as this at the coral farmers market for $50. I love when prices come down so more people can enjoy these beautiful sps that start out ridiculously high priced. It was a good deal for sure. It’s already encrusting a little bit for me after 2 weeks!

That blue in the pic is from the iPhone not picking up true to eye colors. There is no blue on the frag IRL. At least not yet lol. The polyps are yellow and the corallites are mostly yellowish to light green maybe.
The OP's pic definitely looks like there is blue tips and some blue on body. I will aim to have my frag color up more like that since i don't plan to run sub 100 par and 80 ppm no3 to try to keep it so yellow (if that is even really why the frag looks like that now). Once my frag acclimates for a bit i have a place picked out in my rockwork that gets great flow and about 300 par at the current lighting scheme.

Oh ok. Yeah the coral will color up hopefully. You will see on some posts for wd coral that their frag or mini colony is green. Some happens in shippong others bought them that way. Interesting and good data on why yours is that way.
