Walt Disney Tenuis Grow-Out Thread

As for the purchase of these corals, I know I got mine from a friend who had the connection. I am not trying to say all of them are hard to get, but the few people I do know who have mini colonies do not list them and sell them to close friends.

I am not trying to create a mystery or satire here...just saying the few people I know who have them do not mention the sales.

I still have the emails going on between Mike and me.
Will always save the communication from PM's or Emails or Text just incase somebody is asking for reverences if I sell a piece...... that is if I sell it.
Most cases I just give it away as a reefer pay it forward code.

Here is mine. I got it about 2/3 months ago. It seems to be growing well, but the color isn't stellar at this point, which isn't surprising considering I have it very high up on a frag ledge under a 14k MH, T5s and Reefbrites. As long as it is growing well, I might leave it where it is, just to see if it starts getting some of its sig. color in those conditions.

And a close-up...

Although I will never see it this way, because I never run the metal halide alone, here is a 14k MH only pic with my phone and no processing. This is top down, no viewing box, just shot above the water.

In my opinion it didn't look all that great with the camera shot.

Oops, looks like I am not downloading the pic from my phone correctly.

^^^^ I tried to get a pic in 14k light and was told by a reefer to buy it and then see it myself.

So I bought it, it looks good only under blues.

In 14k you won't even notice it in your tank.
Even my ORA birdsnest looks awesome in 20k.

And to benefit of the doubt, we still have no clue what the colonies will look like for these frags! I've had some duds that turn into studs, just didn't look good as a drag

When will we see a honest picture of this coral?

Hey guys. Sorry I did not originally post up a all white picture.

The original picture is honest since I took it from my Note 4. Here is what it looks like during the day.

I can tell you it IS NOT the prettiest acro during the day. It looks very bland and my ORA Tri Color just outshines it with its blue tips, but when the blues come on, there is no comparison.

I think it just depends. It still looks very awesome with a hint of blue LED's on. Is it the prettiest macro during the day, no.

My original picture is true and not touched. I am a huge opponent against photoshop. I have seen corals for sale and when you go see them in person it looks ugly...even with the blues on lol.

I was skeptical at first buying this coral, but I am happy I did. Its one of those corals I think you shouldn't pass up on if you had the cash and it was available to you. It falls in line with my RR orange passion.

It's brown, I always wondered about that. Whenever I watch reef documentaries and I see acros all over they are always brown in the wild with a few exceptions. But pictures in people's aquariums there are always these bright colors.

Yeah its strange because it has almost no appeal during the day...but at night it has ALL the appeal. Funny how life works.
