Walt Disney Tenuis Grow-Out Thread

I've had the Kessil for at least 4 months now. I run the Kessil at 35% for 2 hours, then 50% 2 hours, 70% 2 hours and then ramp back down every 2 hours. T5s are up for 6 hours.

I'm running my Kessil AP700 now at 100% 8 hours and T5s two ATI Blue Plus bulbs for 8 hours. Lots of blue while I am at work then a little more white while I am home for better viewing. I have had my Kessil for about 1.5 years, love them. My WD was added just 2-3 weeks ago and has amazingly done well, great PE and has begun to encrust.

As expected most of the growth has been at the base.

I have since lowered my nutrients so my lighting intensity had to come down. Now AP700s run @ 70% for 8 hours and 2 80w T5s for 6. My tiny bit of WD is starting to encrust well, has a nice color too. My phone camera is broken, I’ll try to get a pic up soon.

Mine isn't exactly growing out of the tank but it is healthy an progressing. It definitely took a while to settle in. I added a couple 10/3 photos because I need to frag some of my other corals to be able to get a decent photo now.

Using iPhone 6 frag is in a small cave so the base doesn't get white light just the part above the base as indicated by the really blue light that is slightly angled on my hood. All that has changed in a month is length and base incrusting. What my phone doesn't portray is the color right.

I had an alk spike That killed off most my sps but my WD lived and is starting to grow out again. Color is bad cause my phone can’t adjust without all the other coral to adjust the image. But it is less orange than before

I have mine placed pretty high in my tank roughly 6 to 8 inches below the water line . I run my ati‘s at around 80% at its peak.

From what I am gathering with all the pics, it seems like each person's lighting makes it grow colors differently. I mean some almost look like a completely different coral.

I'm going to go get one of these on Thursday. What would be the max PAR for one of these? I have a spot that is 580 PAR, and another that's at 425.

Mine only gets about 400 par. I did have it receiving peak par for about 7 hours and it always had light purple tips. I shortened the peak period to 5 1/2 hours and the tips have become darker purple and more pink is starting to come out in the coral.

Got a ATI Hybrid.

I picked mine up in person and seen the mother colony.. Sometimes I question if I even have a WD, mine's just turning green but it's growing well. I'm using the ati hybrid as well, my wd is getting about 350/420 par at peak. Maybe we should ask for nutrients lvl as well as lighting.
