Hi guys,

my local reefer is selling some nice WDs pretty good price. My question is how hard is it compare to other sps. My tank grows Some good sps, but not sure how difficult with WDs. Just wanna ask before drop80-100 frag. Thanks

WD is a very hardy Tenuis, and once established grows very fast. If you have othe Acros doing well then you should be good to go.

Here's one of my colonies... just because :)

wow. That’s nice chunk of it. My local guy sells pretty good prices. Big frag for 80 and smaller one for 60. I have seen small frag like a piece of rice goes for 100 or more. Thanks for your info. I will try it out

Sorry for the crappy pic. The WD is one of my fastest growing corals. I have fragged this colony multiple times and it is ready for another haircut because it is shading out the Garf Bonsi below it.

That's seriously impressive. Largest WD colony I've ever seen! WoWsers!

Definitely hardy, I received a small frag late last year at the same time my tank was going through some issues. I lost some corals but this frag managed to survive but stalled and wouldn't grow. Around the end of January the tank started to come around and since then it's started to really show some growth.

First month after receiving it.

Last couple of months it's really starting to show some growth.

My WD Colony started as a 1" frag and has gone through 4 tank moves in the last three years. It is my fastest growing acro and is pruned constantly. In my experience it has been one of the hardiest and most resilient acropora in my system.

I agree with everybody else. IMO, it is one of the easiest acropora out there. Once they get going, they take off very well.

1 inch frag and now a decent colony. Loves light and flow. It’s right under my radion and pretty much in front of my m

In regards to flow if you notice at the top of my pic the colony has more compact growth than towards the bottom of the pic. I have a MP40 that comes across the tank towards that portion of the colony causing it to grow like that. Unfortunately I can't move that MP40 but it is interesting to see how flow affects coral growth.

Some of the nicest wd I have seen in this thread. Love this coral in good white light. Very unique and I am sad I let my frag fall behind the rocks. I might try and get a good chunk soon since it’s finally dropped in price. Ime, most tenuis grow well like the wd once they get going.
